Uganda Hands for Hope
MSL Solicitors proudly sponsors Uganda Hands for Hope. Based in Namuwongo, Kampala, Uganda Hands for Hope is a non-governmental organisation that provides support to 350 children and their families through education, health and livelihood programmes.
Namuwongo is the second largest slum in Kampala, in which over half of its population are children, and 90% of the population are below the absolute poverty line (earning less than $1 USD per day). The slum is incredibly dangerous and has very poor levels of hygiene.
With child sponsorships at as little as £20 per month, you could fund a child’s education, food and healthcare, whilst benefitting their families and the wider community. Uganda Hands for Hope also accept donations (monetary and non-monetary), fundraising events, and volunteers.
To alleviate extreme poverty and facilitate lasting change in the lives of the most vulnerable children and families living in urban slums in Uganda.
