Subclass 189 Skilled Independent Visa

For skilled workers who are not sponsored by a state or territory, a family member or an employer. The visa holder can live and work permanently anywhere in Australia.

The pass mark for this visa is 60 points to be able to apply.

To lodge a valid 189 application, you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect as well as:

  • be invited to apply
  • nominate an occupation that is on the MLTSSL list
  • be under the age of 45 when invited to apply
  • score 60 points or more
  • have a valid skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority
  • have at least competent English
  • meet the character and health requirements

 

Subclass 190 State Sponsored Visa

For skilled workers who are sponsored by a state or territory in Australia.

The pass mark for this visa is 60 points to be able to apply.

To lodge a valid 190 application, you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect and you must:

  • be invited to apply
  • nominate an occupation that is on the STSOL list and one of the state’s Occupation Lists
  • be under the age of 45 when invited to apply
  • score 60 points or more
  • have a valid skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority
  • have at least competent English
  • meet the character and health requirements

 

Subclass 489 Skilled Nominated Provisional Visa

For skilled workers who are sponsored by a state or territory in Australia.

The pass mark for this visa is 60 points to be able to apply.

To lodge a valid 489 application, you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect and you must:

  • be invited to apply
  • nominate an occupation that is on the STSOL list and one of the state’s Occupation Lists
  • be under the age of 45 when invited to apply
  • score 60 points or more
  • have a valid skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority
  • have at least competent English
  • meet the character and health requirements

 

Subclass 887 Skilled Regional Visa

For skilled workers who are sponsored by a state or territory in Australia.

The pass mark for this visa is 60 points to be able to apply.

To lodge a valid 887 application, you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect and you must:

  • be invited to apply
  • nominate an occupation that is on the STSOL list and one of the state’s Occupation Lists
  • be under the age of 45 when invited to apply
  • score 60 points or more
  • have a valid skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority
  • have at least competent English
  • meet the character and health requirements
